After every type of adventure we luckily caught our ferry to France. But our goal was Germany, within that Trier. Of course we needed to stop a little in Luxemburg as well for a coffee and because I never was there before, and because the fuel is cheaper, than anywhere else nearby…

/ Mindenféle kaland után, csak sikerült elérni a kompunkat Francia ország felé. De a mi végcélunk Németország volt, azon belül is Trier. Természetesen odafelé menet azért megálltunk egy kicsit Luxemburgba is, egy kávéra, meg mert én nem jártam még ott korábban, és persze az olcsó benzin miatt, ahogy mindenki más teszi a környéken… 

Luxemburg

Muckó lived in Trier before and in Trier not really changing anything. Except Marx who born here. Now you can feel in every second corner how important was him.

/ Muckó élt már korábban Trier-ben, és Trier-ben nem igen változik semmi. Kivéve Marx-ot, aki ott született. Mára minden sarkon érezheted milyen fontos ember is volt ő.

Anyway I had an own guid, and one of his friend who still live in Trier was with us as well. Moreover our couchsurfing host was really helpful too. He showed us his favourite places and I can recommend tham: Momo Café, Die Törtchen Manufaktur

and of course the Basilica. He thinks it’s the most powerful buildings there.

/ és persze a Bazilikát. Az ő szemében ez a legerőteljesebb épület a városban. 

There are lot of old, historical buildings. The place is safe, quite rich and nice, but it’s more similar with our hometown, (Győr, Hungary) than I prefer. I couldn’t feel I see something new or different…

/ Ezen túl egy halom régi, történelmi épület van. A hely biztonságos, viszonylag gazdag, kimondottan szép, de eléggé hasonlít a szülővárosunkra, Győrre. Így nem igazán éreztem, hogy valami újat vagy mást láttam, amit várnék egy külföldi kalandtól…

But I found a big different. While our hometown closed the local history museum few years before, in Trier, there is a huge local history museum, the Rheinisches Landesmuseum Trier. 2 hours wasn’t enough for the hole buildings…

/ Mondjuk egy viszonylag nagy különbséget találtam. Míg a mi városunkban pár éve bezárták a helytörténeti múzeumot, addig Trierben egy hatalmas épület ad otthont a gyűjteménynek. A múzeum neve, Rheinisches Landesmuseum Trier, és 2 óra nem volt elég, hogy bejárjuk az egész épületet…
