This collection is inspired by typical Hungarian block of flats, the panel houses. It was the main urban housing type in the Socialist-era, which still dominates the Hungarian cityscape. The share of panel dwellings is 41% in Győr, the city where I was born and live now again.

/ Ezt a kollekciót a mindenki által jól ismert szocialista panelházak ihlették. Természetesen nem a régóta tornyosuló szürke mivoltukban. A pár éve futó hőszigetelési projekteknek hála, mára új külsőt kapott számos épület. A pasztell színek, szokatlan kompozíciók, geometrikus minták ragadták meg fantáziámat. No meg a változást zavartalanul túlélő lakótelepi erkélyek, butikok, hangulatok. 

Living in a panel housing estates bears a special lifestyle. The people who lives there have their own fashion, shops, hobbies, places etc.

Nowadays the government is renovating these panel houses from the outside, in order to have a better thermal insulation in the households. Therefore the gray panels transform into pastel, geometric pattern, colorful buildings.

I would like to show these geometric lines, the colours with the typical panel fashion and -home textiles.
